Built by an iOS engineer who reads the house edge for fun.
Table Ready is a trainer for six casino table games — blackjack, No-Limit Hold'em tournaments, craps, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, baccarat and Pai Gow Poker. It is a classroom that happens to be a casino.
The floor is a classroom. It just charges admission and keeps the receipts.
The problem
Most people who play table games play them wrong — and pay for it in the quietest way there is. Not a loss you notice, but a hundred small edges you never got, bled across an evening of chips you'll never see again.
The fix people reach for is a chart. A chart is a map of a place you've never stood in. It tells you the right play in a perfect situation, and it does nothing for the pressure of a real table, the speed of a real shoe, or the manners a real dealer expects.
- A chart is not a table. It has no clock, no neighbour, no dealer watching your hands.
- A mistake at a chart is free. At a real table it has a price, and you'll only learn it once.
- The floor doesn't teach. It collects.
So we built the floor instead
Table Ready rebuilds six tables and puts a coach in the chair beside you. Every game gets the full stack: lessons that teach the floor, drills that make the decisions automatic, and a coached table against bots where every move is checked against the game's strategy — and where a mistake costs play chips, not real ones.
- Six games. Blackjack, No-Limit Hold'em tournaments, craps, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.
- Fifty-four lessons. Chip values, limits, commission, etiquette and tipping, each ending in a quiz.
- Drills that adapt. The hands you miss come back until they don't.
- A coach that never decides. The strategy engine plays the game; the coach only explains why.
A native iOS app
Table Ready is written in Swift 6 with SwiftData and CloudKit, and the coach runs on Apple's Foundation Models — on your device, where it belongs. It needs iPhone and iOS 26 or later.
- Swift 6, SwiftData, CloudKit. The modern stack, with the strict concurrency to match.
- Foundation Models. The Apple Intelligence coach writes its explanations on device, then answers follow-ups.
- Eight languages. English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese — tables, coach and lessons in each.
Privacy first
A trainer shouldn't need to be a dossier. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no servers of our own. Your practice history, chip count and streaks live on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud private database if you turn on sync — which we can't see. The coach writes on your device and sends nothing.
The only thing the app ever transmits is an anonymous crash report, used to fix bugs and deleted after 90 days. No tracking, no selling your data, and nothing to sell anyway: you are a local database, and it stays that way.
Play money, real discipline
Every chip in Table Ready is play money. Chips can't be bought, won or cashed out, and there is no real-money gambling in the app. What you can win is the thing the house never gives back: the habit of making the correct call without thinking about it.
When you do sit down at a real table, you'll arrive with the rules, the math and the manners already in your hands — and the table will feel less like a slot machine with a dealer and more like a conversation.
That's the whole pitch. One price — $1.99, once — for a floor that teaches.
